BC's cone

This ice cream store doesn't stand out on the outside appearance. In fact, we never actually notice this place exist untill my kids ask for a dessert and we just stroll along the isle after have lunch from huang ji huang (review will be right after this).

On saturday afternoon, where the outside was at the peak temperature, an ice cream really seems to be a life savers at the moment.

So we went inside and after a long waiting list, we ordered a platter of ice cream cone consist of 6 flavor and random coloured waffle cone. All the cone doesnt have any flavor. So its all the same old plain cone taste.

The ice cream itself was a soft ice cream type, which melt quickly. The milk flavor is there, typically soft ice cream basic taste, but not as rich as like some other brand. Its just medium if i have to describe it.

Basically there is 6 flavor to choose from. So by having the platter at 55.000rupiah, we can try all the flavor such as:
1. Strawberry pink
2. Cream soda (greenish colour)
3. Taro (purple) (my favorite)
4. Vanilla
5. Greentea
6. Ovaltine (chocolate colour)

Taro is my favorite from all the option above, greentea on the other side was really a disappointment for me. I'm a big fan of anything about greentea, but for this, i dont like it at all.

Other option other than the ice cream cone on the menu is ice cream parfait which you can simply choose the ice cream and the topping. Its like a sundae with fabulous topping.

Then the others just some crush ice on the ice cream. Not much to choose on the menu.

Totally the taste is just ok. I'll rate it 3.5star out of 5.

Bakmi bintang gading

Try a new branch of Bakmi Bintang Gading in Puri area located at Pesanggrahan street across Chuan Tin restaurant this time.

Ordered Nasi Goreng Ujung Pandang (32.500 rupiah) which is the special menu you wont find at any other similar noodle restaurant.
The fried rice comes in red from the tomato sauce as the main ingredient which taste wonderful, far better than the way it looks. Can choose from lapchiong, chicken or seafood. I ordered the lapchiong one.

The special noodle here is the big noodle, but since big noodle never been my favorite so I order the bakmi halus (27.500 rupiah) which turn out just like the usual noodle. Taste good but not excellent. Can choose from chicken, pork or combine. This one here in the picture was the combine one.

While enjoying my meals the waiter serve a pot of hot-just-fried baso goreng. Looked irresistable, reach one, have a bite, not as good as it looks. Crunchy on the outside, moist at the inside, chewable, but the taste just abit plain to my taste.

The chilly sauce here to my surprise is far more hotter than other bakmi restaurant's chilly. So use it with caution, haha...

The restaurant is two story height, plenty of space and it has air conditioner, so pretty comfortable to enjoy your meals peacefully.

Marshmallow Fluff

Bought a jar of marshmallow fluff last week online at 89.000 rupiahs. Actually just bought this out of curiosity from some good review on the internet. Is this really that good?

First impressions after tear open the package box was, wow, its so light. The jar made of plastic, tear open the seal inside and the content just pop up like a sponge. Quickly dab a fingerfull to taste it. Sweet.... only sweet with some hint of vanilla. My kids so eagerly try it out and said, yummy....

Try to spread it on a toast. Easyly spread and glide through all the surface evenly. First bite, .... is it good? My answer is so so... nothing special from the taste. Just like eating liquidized marshmallow. On the other hand, my kids likes it a lot.

Would I repurchase? Nope.
Why? Too sweet for my standart.
Would I recommend to other? Yup.
Why? Its a nice change if you get bored of your pbnj or ovomaltine or other fruity jam.

Avorio Restaurant

Visited this italian restaurant with my hubby and try out some menu here.

From the four menu we order, some are excellent and some was awful.

The first one was VITELLO TONNATO (thin sliced roasted veal with tuna mayonnaise foam). I think its an appetizer and placed at easy bites in the menu list. It taste so good that i would surely order this again if I come back to this restaurant next time. the mayo creme was slightly salty with blended tuna taste, the sliced veal was just right at the texture and juicy. take one bite of everything with a wrap of lettuce, yummy..., the next thing you know, the plate already empty ^-^. rating : 5 star from me.

For the main course i order RAVIOLI DI RAPE ROSSE CON SEMI DI PAPAVERO E PROSCIUTTO DI PARMA (homemade beetroot ravioli with brown butter, poppy seed and crispy parma ham. 

in the category "not bad" for me, the ravioli was big in size of each and only five pieces per portion. the portion was small enough that it will leave you starve through the night if you dine only with this for your dinner menu. taste slightly sweet from the beetroot inside, and yes, its red wrapped inside, unique right? with some salty ham put on top. 3star from me.

Another maincourse we choose was FETTUCCINE CON SPEAK E FUNGHI DI BOSCO (homemade fettuccine pasta with speak ham and wild mushroom).

From the look at the time it served on our table, we doubted it will taste better than what it looks. And... we was right, it taste just like some chinese cha kwetiau with strong garlic taste with ham and mushroom. Dissappointed -_-". 1star.

Finally, the best part, lovely dessert. We order my favorite dessert, CHOCOLATE MELT, i forgot the name on the menu, they used different name for this dessert. But, because the first time i taste this dessert with this name, so for me, it will always be chocolate melt, whatever you name it. You can tell from the name that its got melting chocolate on the inside that when you sliced it open, some melting chocolate will slipped out from the cake. You better eat as soon as it was served on the table, because the cake was warmed and combine with vanilla ice cream, the taste was heavenly. they put some cranberry sauce on the side which was perfect combine with sweetness from the cake and ice cream. 3.5 out of 5 star.     

For the drink we order some italian soda, we order one green apple flavor and one blueberry flavor. I prefer the sweet green apple than the sour blueberry. 

This restaurant is a bit pricey for this kind of taste. And if youre not lucky enough with your choice, then you may risk your dinner with awful menu. But the staff was nice and the environment and ambiance was also nice. Located at the Plaza Senayan 4th floor, phone 021-57936171.
